Use the following methods to figure out how many square feet the area is you want to sod. It is best to run out of sod than to have too much due to its perishable nature. All of our sod is sold by the square foot (sq.ft.) so please measure in feet.
Grab a piece of paper and a pencil and draw the areas to be sodded, breaking the area down into measurable shapes, squares, rectangles, right triangles, circles, partial circles, etc.. Measure each area and write down your measurements on the drawing. Then enter each shape dimension into the sod area calculator below to determine total square feet.
