Installing A Playing Surface, Not Sod
HD Sports 2.0 “Lay and Play” is our 1.5” thick bluegrass sod
grown in engineered sand on plastic. This extremely durable
sod is encapsulated with roots which locks in the sand rootzone
and reinforces the 100% sand based sod.
Grown on Plastic Sod
Plastic grown sod gives you a bullet-proof playing surface immediately after
install. HD Sports 2.0 Grown on Plastic has a tight root-mass that reinforces the
sod and locks together the 100% sand based root zone. The consistent thickness
of PGS is maintained after install because the root zone does not drop sand upon
unrolling, creating a very even playing surface.
Because the sod is peeled off the plastic instead of cut with a reciprocating blade,
the sod is much stronger than convention sod and maintains all of its carbohydrate reserves stored in its root system. Total root harvest maintains moisture in
the root zone, resulting in less transplant shock, longer shelf life, and extrelly
strong sod.
Encapsulated with roots, HD Sports 2.0 has perfectly square edges, giving you
tighter seams. By not cutting the sod’s root system during harvest, the plant keeps
all of the carbohydrate reserves stored in its root system, accelerating rooting after
installation.
PGS can be installed over any flat surface to produce an instant playing surface.
Due to the strength and root mass of the sod, it can be rolled back up with no
problem. #HDSports2, #LayandPlay, #PGS

Alejandro Barbosa2023-12-19Excellent quality sod. We went from a dirt lot full of weeds to a beautiful backyard of lush green grass. Definitely will use again and spread the word.B Tay2023-10-31We picked up Colorado Blue. Some pieces were literally in pieces, however; I pieced it all together, and it's growing very well! I just wish I could have purchased the pre-lay fertilizer in a smaller portion.Mike Hancock2023-10-06Green Valley was prompt in their communications leading up to installation and completed the job in a thorough and efficient manner. We can once again take pride in our yard!Steven Wolf2023-09-22The entire crew did a wonderful job, and i would recommend them to everyone that needs sod. They worked very hard and were very efficient. I will be using your company next spring to install new sod in my front yard. Thank you,Gini Krattenmaker2023-08-13The installation of our Tahoma grass was an impressive operation. Felipe and his crew of 11 came in and did an excellent job of removing the old lawn, preparing the soil, and installing the new sod. Competent, efficient, and friendly!Mark Lusk2023-08-02We just had our water-gulping Kentucky Bluegrass replaced with Tahoma-31. The GVT team did a superb job, carefully doing soil prep that puts the original version to shame and tailoring the sod cuts to fit perfectly. The curve sidewalk even has beautifully matched curved pieces on its border. They even raised several of our sprinkler heads for better performance. Amazing. What we were not ready for was the show these guys put on! A team of 12 pros converged on the house, and we ended up watching the entire installation because they had such a coordinated approach that the whole thing looked choreographed. It turns out these guys have been working together for 15 years, and it shows. At one point a team member even walked around and passed out snacks that were consumed without breaking the pace. We found ourselves laughing, at several points, because of the exquisite timing and precision! Thanks for our wonderful yard. We could not be happier.Lorenzo Reyes2023-07-16Extremely helpful and Extremely quickDave Boudreaux2023-07-15Found red cedar mulch here after searching multiple other sources.
