Bentgrass Sod Grown in USGA Sand
Because superintendents are often not afforded time for grow-in, we provide T-1 and Dominant X-Treme 7 bentgrass sod grown in USGA spec sand. Bentgrass Sod is available in convenient 21” x 41” slabs on a pallet or 3.5’x90’ big rolls for green, spproaches and tees.
Green Sodding
Green Valley Turf Co. has installed hundreds of golf greens. Our custom big rolls sod installation equipment moves lightly across sand based surfaces while our expert crew provides extra detail work. Our bentgrass sod is grow in UGGS Spec sand so rootzone uniformity is maintained.
Bunker Renovations
We like to use big roll sod on bunkers. This allows us to install larger, heavier pieces of sod that are less prone to sliding when installed. When necessary, sod is pinned down using biodegradable wood dowels. Colorado Blue ™ Kentucky bluegrass has been the traditional sod used for years while RTF® tall fescue and Tahoma 31 ® bermudagrass are an increasingly popular alternatives offering distinct cultural advantages and architectural appeal.
Driving Range Solutions
Driving Range Solutions – We can rejuvenate driving range tees quickly and efficiently. Existing Sod is removed with a big roll sod cutter or with a Koro ® FIELDTOPMAKER ®. The range tee surface is tilled, and laser graded prior to installation of big rolls of GVT Short Cut Blue sod.

What we were not ready for was the show these guys put on! A team of 12 pros converged on the house, and we ended up watching the entire installation because they had such a coordinated approach that the whole thing looked choreographed. It turns out these guys have been working together for 15 years, and it shows. At one point a team member even walked around and passed out snacks that were consumed without breaking the pace.
