Outdoor adventurers [3] from all around come to Chatfield State Park [4], located at 11500 N Roxborough Park Rd, Littleton, CO 80125. The park offers numerous activities [5] no matter what type of outdoor activity you enjoy. Those who enjoy boating [6] can choose to rent a boat or canoe or indulge in water skiing. Those who prefer less taxing activities can set up their tent or camper at one of the 197 campsites [6]. They all feature electrical hookups, and many with complete hookups that include water, sewer, and electricity. Each site is close to showers, laundry facilities, water, toilets, picnic tables, and grills. These are close to the water, so those fishing can reel in their catch and start dinner.
Not all activities [5] happen on the water. Chatfield State Park [7] and Marina, which is just minutes from the Denver foothills, offers horseback riding, biking, hiking, paddle boarding, picnicking, and just relaxing on the beach.
One of the unique features is the floating restaurant Seagull’s Restaurant, which will be opening on Memorial Day. Those that have not been lucky fishing can dine at Seagull’s Restaurant located in Chatfield State Park. It features an air-conditioned dining room and a relaxing deck that offers great views at sunset. Even if you do not plan an overnight camping adventure, the park offers so many activities there is plenty to fill up a day before heading home.
The Chatfield Marina [7] opened in 1982 with 13 boats. Today, it has 320 slips, so those that have their boat can keep it at the Chatfield Marina.
From Chatfield State Park, at 11500 N Roxborough Park Rd, Littleton, CO 80125, exit the park at Roxborough Park Road and go south. Turn west on Titan Road, which will merge onto Rampart Range Road. Go about 1.5 miles until you get to Waterton Road (CO-121) and turn right, then take a right at Wadsworth Blvd. Lockheed Martin Space is at 12257 S. Wadsworth Blvd.
Starting at Lockheed Martin Space located at 12257 S. Wadsworth Blvd., turn left onto Platte Canyon Road, continue for 3.5 miles until you come to W Deer Creek Road and turn left. Continue about 1.5 miles until you come to Hildebrand Ranch Park on your left, 9880 W. Deer Creek Canyon Road.
Hildebrand Ranch Park is located less than five miles from Meadows Gold Club. To get there, go northeast on W Deer Creek Canyon Road. After1.25 miles turn right onto S Platte Canyon Road. Continue down for 3.5 miles until you reach Meadows Golf Club at 12257 S Wadsworth Blvd.
Depart from Meadows Golf Club located at 12257 W. Wadsworth, and turn left onto S. Platte Canyon Road, stay on that for 5.5 miles and turn left onto W Ken Caryl Avenue. Turn left onto S Carr Street, and then another left onto W. Morraine Avenue. Take your first left, and you will be at Columbine Meadows, 8214 W. Ken Caryl Place.
From Columbine Meadows turn east on Ken Caryl Place and take the first left onto S Balsam St. Make a right onto W Ken Caryl Avenue and in 1.0-mile turn right onto Wadsworth Blvd. Go down 5.6 miles, and you will come to Green Valley Turf Co., 13159 US-85.
